The race to bring home the 2020 NFL MVP award has been one with its fair share of tumultuous movement.
Patrick Mahomes began the 2020 NFL Season as the odds-on favorite to win his second MVP award in three seasons, but was quickly replaced at the top by Russell Wilson. After a two-month run at the top of the leaderboard, Wilson began to quickly regress and Patrick Mahomes once again became the favorite to win MVP.
But the one constant throughout this entire season has been the outstanding play of Aaron Rodgers.
Outside of one poor performance in their 38-10 loss at the hands of the Buccaneers back in the middle of October, Rodgers has completed at least 60 percent of his passes in every start with at least two touchdown passes in every game but their 24-16 Week 15 win over Carolina.
After Rodgers threw four touchdowns in a 40-14 drubbing of Tennessee on Sunday Night, the long time great finally ascended to the top of the MVP odds board and is now considered the heavy favorite to bring home his first MVP award since the 2014 season and the third MVP award of his career.

The ascent to the top of the MVP leaderboard should be music to the ears of those who have backed #12 from the jump, as Rodgers’ preseason odds to bring home his third NFL MVP award sat at 25-1 to begin the season and sat as high as +550 at the beginning of the month. Depending on when you may have placed that wager, you could be in line for a nice Christmas bonus of sorts in just a few more weeks.
