The Hook
The last time we saw the puck being dropped in the NHL came from the NHL Bubble in Canada this past October where the Tampa Bay Lightning would wash away a shocking end to a historically great 2019 season with a Stanley Cup Finals victory over the Dallas Stars to give the Lightning their second Stanley Cup crown in franchise history.
As we enter the brand new season, we have a new favorite to bring home the Stanley Cup, as the Colorado Avalanche have been christened with the shortest odds on the board at +650, with the defending Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning carrying the shortest odds of any Eastern Conference team at +850. The Vegas Golden Knights, the runners-up in the Western Conference a season ago, also come into the new season with +850 odds to secure Sin City’s first-ever professional championship.
Here’s how the rest of the board shakes out as the NHL kicks off their shortened 56-game season, January 13th.
